Description:

Barium chloride 99% is an inorganic compound that appears as a white crystalline powder. Odorless, with a bitter and salty taste. It is readily soluble in water, slightly soluble in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, and insoluble in ethanol and ether. It has a hygroscopic nature. When barium chloride is heated to 113 ºC, it loses its crystalline water and becomes anhydrous, white powder.

Application

In industry, barium chloride is used to manufacture other barium salts, pigments, coatings, mordants, leather, insecticides, pharmaceuticals, inks, water softeners, etc. Specifically, it is also used in industries such as metal heat treatment, electronic instruments, and metallurgy.
In agriculture. Barium chloride reacts with certain acidic substances to produce phosphate that can be absorbed by plants, which helps to improve crop yield and quality.

In mechanical processing. Barium chloride is used as a heat treatment agent.
